Web Desk: Security forces have continued sanitisation and pursuit operations across Balochistan, killing at least 22 suspected militants in targeted raids overnight.

The latest operations form part of a broader campaign launched after recent militant attacks, aimed at dismantling armed groups accused of operating against the state.

Security sources said forces carried out targeted operations in multiple areas late Monday, resulting in the deaths of 22 suspected attackers.

As a result, the total number of suspected militants killed during coordinated operations over the past three days has risen to at least 177, according to the sources. The actions were conducted across several districts of the province.

Meanwhile, security forces, intelligence agencies and police units are jointly tightening their cordon around suspected militant groups and their facilitators in sensitive and hard-to-reach areas of Balochistan, the sources said.

During the operations, authorities destroyed several suspected hideouts and recovered weapons, ammunition and communication equipment, they added.

Security officials said the campaign has caused significant damage to militant networks and disrupted their command and control systems.

In addition, reports have emerged of further casualties and material losses among militants and their facilitators in some areas. However, officials said they were withholding details due to operational sensitivity.

According to the sources, the ongoing operations are intelligence-based and aim not only to eliminate armed elements but also to dismantle their support networks, including financing and logistical channels.

Security institutions said operations against groups described as hostile to the state would continue until lasting peace is restored in Balochistan.

Separately, security forces appealed to the public to report suspicious activity to authorities and to cooperate with efforts to maintain peace.

Officials said a zero-tolerance policy toward militancy remains in place as authorities seek to restore law and order in the resource-rich but volatile province.
