Abbottabad: Chief Minister KP Sohail Afridi has said that he is a soldier of Imran Khan and he cannot be intimidated or bought.
He expressed these views while addressing a convocation of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology on Wednesday.
“I am a soldier of Imran Khan and stand with my people and my province. I can neither be intimidated nor bought; I will stand firm like a rock”, said Sohail Afridi.
He alleged that decisions were taken behind closed doors to topple Imran Khan’s elected government and reimpose terrorism on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The chief minister said people of Tirah were being forcibly displaced. He said the government wanted to provide education, but this right was being taken away again. Sohail Afridi said the health system had been improved to some extent, but it was now being destroyed again.
He said the federal government had promised Rs400,000 for houses destroyed during previous operations, calling the amount insufficient. He added that even this amount had not been paid to the affected people.
The chief minister said Rs750 billion owed to the province was still pending with the federation. He claimed the IMF had reported corruption worth Rs5,300 billion by the ruling elite.
