A significant development has emerged in the case involving Shehzad Akbar and Adil Raja. During proceedings at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, it was revealed that the 25-year-old man, Lewis Regan, presented before the court is not a hitman but a student with a clean background.
During the hearing, the court was informed that Lewis Regan has no prior criminal record, and so far no direct link to the case has been established against him.
However, the court was told that the student was involved in the buying and selling of a BMW vehicle—the same vehicle that was allegedly used during incidents at the residences of Adil Raja and Shehzad Akbar.
Importantly, according to the evidence presented in the case, no connection whatsoever has been established between Pakistan or any Pakistani agency in the incident.
As per court records, the incident appears to be an ordinary theft rather than an organised state-sponsored conspiracy, which was given undue significance on social media and by certain circles

Sources say that Shehzad Akbar has approached relevant legal forums regarding statements made against him on social media platforms, while Adil Raja has maintained his stance through online content and legal responses.
The “hitman” story refers to allegations circulated on social media, mainly through videos and posts.
These allegations claimed that a contract killing (hitman) was planned or discussed involving political or legal figures.
The claims became public during ongoing disputes and legal battles between individuals such as YouTuber Adil Raja and former adviser Shehzad Akbar.
No court has confirmed or proven the hit man claim as a fact.
