Web Desk: The start of 2026 is bringing noticeable changes to Pakistan’s automobile market, with small-budget car buyers shifting focus toward next-generation entry-level vehicles after the official discontinuation of the Suzuki Wagon R and the iconic “Carry” (Bolan).
Industry experts say the Suzuki Alto continues to dominate sales in Pakistan, even amid rising prices. The car’s 660cc engine, fuel efficiency, and strong resale value make it a reliable investment for middle-class buyers.

“The Alto remains the first preference for the average consumer,” said an industry analyst. “Its combination of affordability, efficiency, and safety keeps it highly attractive.”
In 2026, the Alto’s price ranges between PKR 2.33 million and PKR 3.05 million.
Meanwhile, the Suzuki Every has officially replaced the Bolan. With a modern EFI engine, improved suspension, efficient air conditioning, and additional safety features, the Every is gaining popularity among large families and commercial users. Its spacious cabin sets it apart in its segment. Prices for the model range from PKR 2.75 million to PKR 2.8 million.

Japanese imports such as the Daihatsu Mira and Nissan Dayz are attracting buyers seeking comfort and advanced technology. The Mira is favored for its low fuel consumption and smooth drive, although its spare parts remain relatively expensive.

The Nissan Dayz is viewed as a luxury option within the 660cc category, but high purchase and maintenance costs limit its accessibility for budget-conscious consumers.
The Suzuki Cultus, a 1000cc hatchback, remains popular but has crossed the PKR 4 million mark in 2026. As a result, it is no longer considered a low-budget vehicle, pushing it further upmarket.
For buyers seeking larger vehicles on a tighter budget, used models such as the Wagon R and Toyota Vitz remain available and are regarded as sensible choices.
Analysts recommend the Alto for those prioritizing safe investment. Buyers who need more space should consider the Suzuki Every, while enthusiasts looking for comfort and advanced features may prefer Japanese imports.
“The market is evolving, but each vehicle continues to appeal to distinct segments,” said a local auto industry observer.
