The White House has announced the names of members appointed to the Board of Peace under US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.
According to the White House, Major General Jasper Jeffers will serve as the commander of the Global Stability Force. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, President Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner will also be part of the board.
Ari Lightstone and Josh Grunbaum will work as senior advisers to the board, while Nickolay Mladenov has been appointed as an executive member. He will serve as the senior representative for Gaza.
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has also joined the board, along with Mark Rowan, Ajay Banga, and Robert Gabriel expanding the group’s international and financial representation.
Earlier, President Trump announced the formation of a Peace Council for Gaza and expressed support for setting up a Palestinian technocratic government in the region. He also revealed plans to disarm Hamas as part of his broader peace strategy.
President Trump said the council will oversee Gaza’s administration during the transitional period, manage reconstruction efforts and help shape the region’s future political structure. The board aims to improve security coordination, manage humanitarian aid, support rebuilding projects and push for reforms within the Palestinian Authority.
