Pakistan approves new visa clearance system to ease overseas travel

ISLAMABAD: The federal Cabinet at aimed to increase the travel experience for Pakistan citizens approved a new clearance system on the recommendation of the Ministry of Interior.   

The new clearance is made to provide a transparent and secure mechanism for travelers.  The initiative is designed to provide a transparent and secure mechanism for receiving visas.

According to officials the new initiative process will be made more efficient for passengers who travel abroad. Through the new system the citizens will be protected from visa scams in the country as well.

The officials said that the system will bring transparency and will make the process of the visas faster and it will be convenient for both authorities and individuals.

Earlier it was reported that the passport application will be monitored through a new digital monitoring system as the Directorate of Immigration and passports introduced a new 24/7 digital system for the process.

According to a social post Pakistan’s Passport Department disclosed that to improve services for passport applications both in Pakistan and abroad the system will provide faster processing and improved services.     

Regarding the new system Director General Immigration and Passport (DGIP) Mustafa Jamal Kazi said that to monitor the passport process around the clock at headquarters the monitoring systems has been established.

The system will ease the authorities to check the passport processing on every stage to automatically identify high traffic periods at passport offices from the initial stage to the final step.
