News Desk: The Philippine government has confirmed that Bondi beach shooters Sajid and Naveed Akram travelled to the country on Indian passport in November.

The father son duo arrived in the Philippines from Sydney on November using Indian passports, immigration authorities further confirmed.

Also Australian police revealed that father and son went through military style training during their stay in the Philippines. Philippine immigration officials said that both departed the country on November 28, and they returned to Australia. As per news agency report the Australian authorities have conducted an investigation into the suspects travel to the Philippines as part of the broader probe into the Sydney attack.

Australian media confirms Bondi attackers were Indian origin


According to an Australian owned tv that the gunmen who targeted Jewish Australians at Hanukkah event on Sunday was Indian origin. The Australian government have confirmed evidences that attackers are Indians. The TV outlet aired that Sajid Akram is an Indian and the investigators are searching the links to Islamic State (IS) a militant group as the Bondi gunman Naveed Akram was follower of pro-Islamic State preacher Wasim Haddad.

Earlier it was reported that Australian media has shown footage of the colleague of Sajid Akram (50), who was killed in the police shootout, as saying that Sajid Akram was an Indian origin while his spouse was Italian.

Indian media which had launched a tirade of propaganda by saying that the father son duo shooters, Naveed Akram and Sajid Akram were Pakistani nationals. The propaganda was debunked by Pakistani authorities who said that there was no record of the father son duo being Pakistani nationals.

Indian media violating all journalistic norms were quick to blame Naveed Akram, a Pakistani citizen living in Sydney as the attacker of the Bondi Beach shooting

Naveed  Akram in a video message said that he was wrongly being blamed for the shooting just because he has the same name as the original shooter.

He said some media reports mentioned a suspect named Naveed Akram and this coincidence has led to false and damaging allegations against him.

Naveed Akram said Indian social media pages exploited the situation and shared his photos without consent.
