Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Sialkot and Gujranwala garrisons. Operational readiness and training standards of the deployed formations were reviewed by him there.
As per Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir, was received by the Gujranwala Corps Commander upon his arrival. A detailed briefing was given to him about ongoing security measures, formation’s overall operational preparedness and, and key steps taken to further strengthen combat capabilities
According to ISPR, during the visit Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir observed a field training exercise and a modern simulator training facility. He praised the high professional standards of the officers and soldiers and expressed satisfaction with the formation’s overall preparedness.
Addressing the officers and soldiers, Chief of Army Staff, Chief of Defence Forces and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that alignment with technology is critically important in the modern battlefield, as agility, precision, timely situational awareness and rapid decision-making are the fundamental requirements of contemporary warfare.
Soldiers and officer’s high morale was commended by the Field Marshal. He further commended their unwavering commitment and discipline for National Security. The importance of mission oriented, rigorous training for combat was emphasized by him.
At the end of the visit, the Field Marshal expressed full confidence in the formation’s professional capabilities. He said the Pakistan Army is always ready to face future challenges and will continue to fulfill its duties in national defense with high standards and dedication.
