Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has asked its lawmakers to contribute a portion of their salaries to help the party manage its rising financial obligations, according to an internal letter issued today.

Letter Calls for Urgent Support

In a letter addressed to members of the National Assembly, Senate and provincial legislatures, PTI’s additional secretary general said each parliamentarian is expected to deposit 10 percent of their monthly salary into the party fund. The letter states that every MNA, senator and MPA should contribute Rs 50,000 per month.

Party Cites Financial Shortfall

According to the correspondence, the party is unable to meet several operational responsibilities due to financial constraints. Additional Secretary General Firdous Shamim Naqvi urged legislators to send their contributions on an emergency basis to stabilize ongoing activities.

Lawmakers Given 72 Hours
