Pakistan Women’s Football team secures spot in FIFA series

Islamabad: A big breakthrough in the field of women football as Pakistan women’s national team has been officially included in FIFA Women’s series for the first time in history.

According to the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) that the FIFA has announced the formal approval for the team’s participation which a is a significant recognition of the sport’s rapid growth in the country.      

As per PFF, Pakistan’s women football team inclusion will open the door of invaluable international exposure and mark the beginning of a new era for women’s football in the country. Official said that this reflect the hard work, dedication and continued improvement shown by Pakistani women footballers.

It is officially announced that the Women’s Series will be held in March and April 2026 in Ivory Coast, Brazil and Thailand. This international competition will help women’s national team to improve their competitive skills, gain experience and rankings.

FIFA added that the host nations will issue details of all groups in early 2026 and after that the schedule and opponents potential will be confirmed.

The PFF said that the approval is major achievement for Pakistani women and called a milestone that will contribute in strengthening Pakistan’s positive image in sporting world.
