The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) announced that the M-1 Motorway has been closed due to heavy fog. The closure has affected traffic between Peshawar and Burhan, including the stretch up to Rashakai, where visibility dropped sharply early this morning.

NHMP officials said the motorway will remain closed until the fog clears to ensure the safety of all road users.

The police also issued a strong advisory, urging drivers to avoid using fog-affected routes unnecessarily. They asked motorists to delay their travel until weather conditions improve, warning that high-speed driving in low visibility can lead to serious accidents.
