Web Desk: Rush Hour 4 is officially in the works. An old movie getting a sequel in Hollywood is no new news. Many movies including 28 years later, Scary Movie 6, The Mummy or Beverly Hills Cop have gotten a sequel after fans thought the franchise has ended.
However, the interesting thing here is that never before a movie sequel has been greenlit at the behest of the sitting President of the United States of America. It has now been confirmed via Variety that Rush Hour 4 is in works at paramount.
It is being said that the President Donald Trump has been trying to get the studio executives to greenlight a sequel for the action-comedy franchise.
The franchise seemed to be ended for the fans with the critically disfavored 2007’s Rush Hour 3, however now there is a possibility of seeing Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan reprising their roles as unlikely buddy-cop duo Carter and Lee.
Controversy however has also arrived with Rush Hour 4 as it will see the return of disgraced director Brett Ratner who was blacklisted from Hollywood due to a series of serious allegation about sexual misconduct and harassment.
The details of this were published in the Los Angeles Times back in 2017. Although he did direct a documentary earlier this year.
The documentary costed about 40 million dollars and was on Melania Trump. For the documentary Ratner was given unprecedented access to Melania Trump the First Lady of USA.
As of now not much is known about the plot or when the movie will be shot. Not much is known about the cast either. However, fans and the President of the United States of America are excited.
