OGRA Hikes LPG Prices

Web Desk: An increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been announced by The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). It will be affecting both commercial buyers and consumers.

LPG has become Rs 7.39 more expensive per kilogram. The new price will be Rs 209 per kg for December as per the latest notification,

The cost of LPG cylinder has also gone up by Rs 87.21, raising the price to 2,466.10.

In comparison last month LPG was being sold at Rs 201 per kg while a domestic cylinder costed Rs 2,378.89.

This new increase will like add to the financial strain already faced by middle and lower class families. This increase was not a welcome news in a country already facing rising inflation and higher utility costs.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Reduce

However, there is some good news as the government has announced the new petrol and diesel prices for the next 15 days.

The notification issued by the Petroleum Division on November 30 states that the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 2 per litre, bringing it down to Rs 263.45 per litre.

High-speed diesel’s price was also decreased. It has been lowered by Rs 4.79 per litre, and the new rate is Rs 279.64 per litre.

After 15 days the new rates will be announced.
