warning issued for citizens registered with the BISP

ISLAMABAD: A warning has been issued for citizens registered with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP).

In the warning issued by BISP, registered citizens were asked to be aware of any SMS or phone calls received on mobile phones demanding money from BISP and to contact the given number or share personal information.

The warning said that never respond to such messages, all BISP messages are received only from 8171 and do not trust any number other than this.

It should be noted that the Benazir Income Support Program introduced a new system of payment of money for registered citizens, ‘Social Protection Wallets’, which aims to make the system more transparent and easy.

Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid said in her video message that the Benazir Income Support Program has launched Social Protection Wallets for registered citizens to make the payment system more transparent and easy.

Senator Rubina Khalid said that distribution of free SIM cards has started among registered women under the Social Protection Wallets system.

She clarified in the video message that BISP women should not pay money to anyone to get the SIM because it is absolutely free. Social Protection Wallets on SIM will be created only by BISP, so do not contact any unauthorized person or institution, she said.

The Chairperson added that in the future, all payments will be transferred through the same Social Protection Wallets, while messages related to payments will also be received on the same SIM.
