Islamabad: Tsinghua, one of the world’s top-ranked universities, formally opened applications and scholarship offers for international students, including those from Pakistan. The university said it is now accepting applicants from multiple countries for advanced research programs beginning in 2026.

According to the announcement, students will receive full academic and living support through the Chinese Government Scholarship, the Beijing Government Scholarship and various assistantships. These benefits will cover tuition, on-campus housing, a monthly stipend and medical insurance.

English-Taught Programs Ease Access

The university said more than 30 programs across 50 schools and departments are taught entirely in English, making the admission process easier for Pakistani candidates. Master’s degrees will span two to three years, while PhD programs will run for three to four years.

Tsinghua also provides teaching, research and management assistantships each semester, enabling students to gain hands-on experience while supplementing their financial support.

Application Window Opens

Applicants must submit their forms online, and the deadline for scholarship applications is February 28, 2026. The university urged interested Pakistani students to apply within the timeframe to take advantage of what it described as a major opportunity for advanced study in China.
