X Services

Islamabad: Global outage disrupts X services, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, faced a major global disruption on Tuesday, leaving thousands of users unable to access the service. The outage affected multiple regions, including Pakistan, where users reported difficulties loading feeds, logging in and viewing posts.

Complaints Surge on Monitoring Platforms

Reports of the outage spiked rapidly on online outage trackers, where users noted problems such as failed login attempts, disappearing timelines and delayed notifications. The disruption triggered a wave of complaints across Pakistan and other parts of Asia, as well as in Europe and North America, indicating that the issue was not confined to a single region.

Authorities Confirm Internet Functioning in Pakistan

Pakistan’s telecom authorities confirmed that local internet services were operating normally, clarifying that the disruptions were specific to the platform and not related to any local internet restrictions or infrastructure issues.

Platform Working to Restore Access

Technical teams at X acknowledged the disruption and attributed it to a failure at one of their international data centers. The company said it was working to restore services and stabilize login and feed functions as quickly as possible.

Services Begin to Recover Gradually

By late evening, some users reported partial restoration of the platform, though issues such as delayed content and slow performance persisted for many. While access improved in several regions, the platform had not fully resumed normal functionality. X Authorities assured users that efforts continue to restore full services globally.
