Foreign Missions Condemn Islamabad Explosion, Express Solidarity with Pakistan

Islamabad: Swift International condemnation and expressions of solidarity with Pakistan poured in after the Islamabad explosion, which resulted in killing and injuring several people near the city’s judicial complex.

British High Commissioner Extends Condolences

The British High Commissioner to Pakistan expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the attack. “My heartfelt sympathies are with the families who lost their loved ones,” the envoy said in a statement. She added that the United Kingdom was closely monitoring the situation as authorities launched investigations into the blast.

Qatar Denounces Terrorism

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack in the strongest terms, describing it as an “unacceptable act of terrorism.” The ministry expressed condolences to the families of those killed in both the Islamabad and Wana Cadet College incidents, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured. “Qatar stands firmly against all forms of terrorism and violence,” the statement read.

U.S. Reaffirms Support for Pakistan’s Peace Efforts

U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker reiterated Washington’s support for Islamabad in its ongoing fight against terrorism. “The United States stands with Pakistan in its efforts to ensure peace and security,” Baker said, underscoring continued bilateral cooperation on counterterrorism initiatives.

China Expresses Sympathy

The Chinese Embassy in Islamabad also condemned the suicide bombing outside the judicial complex. In its statement, the embassy conveyed deep condolences to the victims’ families and extended sympathy to those injured in the attack. “China stands with Pakistan in this difficult time,” the statement added.

EU condemns

The European Union (EU) has condemned the suicide attack and wished swift recovery to all those injured in Islamabad.

Australia Stands in Solidarity with Pakistan

Australian High Commission in Pakistan also expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan condemning the inhumane incident.

Russian Embassy Condemns the Attack

Embassy of Russia in Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack at G-11 Judicial Complex in Islamabad.

International Community Stands United

The wave of statements from foreign missions underscored broad international support for Pakistan as it confronts renewed security challenges. Authorities have cordoned off the blast site and investigations are underway to determine those responsible for the deadly attack.
