Karachi police have detained the guard of Dumper Association President Liaqat Mehsood for firing shots on citizens protesting over a traffic accident linked to a dumper truck.
The guard of Liaqat Mehsoos was arrested from Sohrab Goth after his video of firing got viral. According to police, he opened fire to disperse the protesters. The residents of Ramswami were protesting against the dumper association on Wednesday.
The name of the incident victim was Shahzaib, and media reports confirmed that his wife also got injured in the road accident.
The angry protesters had set the dumper on fire and blocked the road . After that, Karachi police arrested the dumper’s driver, Niaz Hussain.
The situation got out of control when Liaqat Mehsood arrived at the spot with his security guards.
According to the witnesses, protesters were raising slogans against Liaqat Mehsood. The protestors accused him of coming only to defend his trucks and not taking responsibility for the incident.
During the protest, one of his armed guards opened fire in the air to disperse the demonstrators before leaving the area. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Karachi police confirmed on Wednesday that the security guard of Liaqat Mehsood was involved in the firing incident.

Three minors have lost their lives in two different road accidents, the private media reported.
Police said that a vehicle hit a motorbike near the Sabzi Mandi area, killing a four-year-old child. The body was transferred to Jinnah Hospital.
On the same day in the Manghopir area of the city, two children lost their lives in a separate accident.
According to police, the ages of the children were between 12 and 15 years old. They were unable to be identified right away; however, their bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital.
Police have launched an investigation to find out the reasons behind the accident in which two children lost their lives.
Earlier in the morning on Thursday, a motorcyclist lost his life when a dumper truck collided with the motorcycle.
