Turkiye always supports Pakistan in difficult times, says PM Shehbaz

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the historic ties between Pakistan and Turkiye and noted that Turkiye has always supported Pakistan in difficult times.

Speaking at an event observing the Turkiye’s 102nd Republic Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the Turkish President supported Pakistan during the war between Pakistan and India in May this year. He also praised President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saying that he is a global example of progress.

Prime Minister Shehbaz attended the National Day ceremony as the guest of honour. The Turkish Ambassador, Irfan Nazir Oglu, delivered a message from the Turkiye president to the audience. The federal ministers, Atta Tarar and Abdul Aleem Khan, also attended the event.

While speaking at the ceremony, Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Turkish President and the people of Turkiye on their national day. He mentioned that the flags of Pakistan and Turkiye were flying together in Islamabad, showing that Pakistanis stand in solidarity with their Turkish brothers and sisters. He also praised Turkiye’s progress.

He noted that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk paved the way for modern Turkiye and stressed that President Erdoğan’s leadership has introduced Turkiye as a model of progress, civilisation, and cultural advancement.
