Security Forces Foiled Infiltration at Pak-Afghan Border; 13 Khawarij Neutralised

North Waziristan: Pakistani security forces said they foiled an infiltration attempt by militants along the Pak–Afghan border in the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, killing a dozen attackers in a firefight and related explosions.

According to security sources, troops engaged a militant formation in the Hassan Khel sector after intercepting a group attempting to cross the border fence. In the ensuing operation the forces said 13 militants including three suicide bombers were killed on the spot and their bodies recovered. The security sources also said they had intercepted 16 fighters trying to breach the frontier.

According to Security Sources a suicide attacker detonated an explosive device during the clashes which caused fatalities among government troops, five soldiers embraced martyrdom and one sustained minor injuries.

Pak-Afghan Dialogue In Turkiye

Delegation from Pakistan and Afghanistan are meet today in Turkiye for a second round of peace talks. Pak–Afghan border remains a hotspot for terror activities carried out by Khawarij. The operation came as Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban are holding talks in Istanbul, underscoring the delicate security backdrop to diplomatic engagement. Pakistani forces said they had surrounded and cleared a militant “task-force” in the area and intensified patrols along the porous border.

Resident in Waziristan Force out Millitants

Local residents in Waziristan speaking to reporters and security officials said they had turned against the militants operating in their communities. Residents accused the fighters of being foreign-backed and told them to leave the area, adding that local communities would not tolerate armed groups using their territory.

The military said operations to secure the border and prevent further infiltrations would continue. Authorities also said investigations into the incident and the identities of the dead militants were under way.
