India launch tri-services military exercise

Web Desk: India launch tri-services military exercise, ‘Ex Trishul’, to be conducted along its western border with Pakistan from October 30 to November 10, 2025, in what officials describe as a show of operational readiness, jointness and self-reliance in defence.

According to a NOTAM issued by Indian authorities, the airspace reservation for the exercise will extend up to 28,000 feet a move that defence analysts have called “unusually large in scale” for a routine drill. The operation will involve coordinated participation from the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force across multiple terrains, including the desert and coastal sectors.

Exercise to Validate Joint Operations and Atmanirbharta

The Ministry of Defence said Ex Trishul aims to validate India’s ability to conduct joint multi-domain operations encompassing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW) and Cyber capabilities. Troops from the Southern Command will lead the exercise, performing amphibious operations off the Saurashtra coast and offensive manoeuvres in the desert and creek areas.

The exercise will highlight the integration of indigenous defence technologies, showcasing India’s growing emphasis on Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) and innovation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “JAI Vision” focusing on Jointness, Aatmanirbharta, and Innovation within the armed forces.

Rajnath Singh Makes False Claims

Addressing senior military leaders, Singh described Operation Sindoor India’s recent counter-terror strike against Pakistan-based groups as a reflection of India’s “new defence doctrine”, under which the country responds to terrorism “on its own terms,” when in reality India could not provide a single shred of evidence in this regard.

He also made false claims regarding the success of Operation Sindoor on the other hand Pakistan was fully able to defend its sovereignty, also inflicting heavy losses onto India even dowing its seven Jets

Peace and Preparedness

Despite heightened tensions, Singh reiterated India’s position that dialogue and defence readiness can coexist. “Our policy is clear we are always open to dialogue, but our preparedness will never be compromised,” he said.

Ex Trishul is expected to serve as a major test of India’s integrated warfighting capabilities and a demonstration of its evolving military doctrine in response to modern and hybrid threats.

Pakistan Prepared to respond to any Indian Aggression

After India launch tri-services military exercise, Pakistan’s armed forces have reaffirmed their full preparedness to respond to any Indian aggression along the eastern border, following New Delhi’s announcement of its upcoming tri-services military exercise, Ex Trishul. According to officials, Pakistan’s defence establishment is closely monitoring developments across the border and remains on high alert to safeguard national sovereignty. Security sources said that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy are maintaining “a state of operational readiness” to counter any potential provocation, with intelligence and surveillance assets already intensified along sensitive sectors.

Defence analysts in Islamabad noted that while Pakistan continues to advocate regional peace and stability, it retains the right to respond decisively to any hostile move that threatens its territorial integrity. The military’s leadership has reiterated that Pakistan’s defence strategy is based on credible deterrence and measured response, ensuring peace through strength. Officials emphasised that any miscalculation by India would be met with a “firm and proportionate” reply, underscoring Pakistan’s capability and resolve to protect its borders under all circumstances.
