Doha: Pakistan and Taliban are set for talks today to be held in Doha the capital of Qatar. Delegation from Pakistan is being led by Defence minister Khawaja Asif and would hold talks with Taliban counterparts according to ministry of foreign Affairs. Taliban Delegation would be led by Defence Minister and Intelligence Chief.

The core concern of Pakistan is to halt cross border terrorism being carried out by TTP Khawarij and BLA aka Fitna al Hindustan both emanating from Afghan soil. Pakistan emphasizes that Taliban must honour their commitment to International community where they pledged that their soil would not be used against any other country. “Pakistan appreciates the mediation efforts of Qatar and hopes these discussions contribute to peace and stability in the region,” the FO said.

Yesterday Afghan Taliban started unprovoked attacks violating the 48 hours ceasefire between the two sides and later were given a befitting response by Pakistan Armed Forces.

Precision strikes were undertaken, targeting the leadership of Gul Bahadur Group killing 60-70 Kharjis and their leadership.

Some Taliban fighters tried to infiltrate into the Pakistan side, intercepted and fired upon by the Pakistan Armed forces. Multiple Taliban check posts have been destroyed.
