FBR Warning to Non-Filers of Income Tax Returns

ALMOST ALL LANGUAGES SUPPORTED BUT SOME MAY HAVE NO CONTENT According to the details, the FBR has clarified that the deadline for filing income tax returns is October 15 and no extension will be granted after that. The authorities have instructed taxpayers to submit their returns fully and accurately before the deadline. According to FBR officials, individuals who submit returns after October 15 will be counted in the ’Late Filer‘ category, which will have a higher withholding tax rate. According to the Department, the FBR has tax data from various sources, including identity card (CNIC), ATM and credit card purchase details, overseas travel record on passports, property (movable and immovable) information, and data on expensive vehicles, jeeps and motorcycles through the Excise Department. The authorities have further stated that the proceedings against fake names and anonymous persons will start from October 16.
