DUBAI: Pakistan all set to kick off its Asia Cup 2025 campaign against Oman today at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Pakistan is a two time winner and three-time runner-up of the Asia Cup 2025 in 16 editions of the tournament. Meanwhile, in the T20 version of the tournament, Pakistan are one one-time runners-up where they lost to Sri Lanka in 2022.
During today’s clash. the green team is eyeing to start the tournament on a winning note and boost their confidence ahead of a encounter against the arch rival India on September 14.
Salman Agha is leading the Pakistan side in this tournament. They come into the Asia Cup 2025 after winning a T20I tri-series trophy against Afghanistan and UAE. The performance in the final against Afghanistan was impressive.
On the other hand, Oman led by Jatinder Singh will feature in the Asia Cup for the first time. Oman earned their ticket in the tournament by finishing runners-up at the ACC Premier Cup 2024. Before that, they won the Asia T20 World Cup Qualifier 2023.
