The meeting between President Trump and Xi Jinping is taking place at a well-protected military base attached to the nearby airport. The meeting is in progress as per reports.
The Chinese president stated that “it feels very warm” seeing president Trump again.
Xi also spoke on Trump’s efforts for “settling various regional hotspot issues” and mentioning the US leader’s “great contribution to the recent conclusion of the Gaza ceasefire agreement” as well as to a peace deal in the border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand.
“We have spoken on the phone three times, exchanged several letters and stayed in close contact,” he said.

“I think it’s going to be a very good meeting.”
