At present, these additional features are limited, but the company says more advanced features will be added in the future.
Premium Instagram users will be able to see how many times their stories were rewatched, although they will not be able to see who rewatched them.
In addition, stories can remain available for an extra 24 hours, one selected story each week will receive additional promotion, users will be able to preview stories without appearing in the viewer list, and they will also have the option to search for specific people within the viewer list.
Technology company Meta has announced that the premium subscriptions will be optional, meaning users can continue using the standard versions of WhatsApp Instagram and Facebook without paying a fee. The paid plans are intended for users who want access to extra tools, enhanced insights and exclusive features.
