Washington: What was included in the US proposals sent to Iran? An American news agency has shared key details.
According to reports, the US proposals for negotiations include the elimination of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. Two Pakistani and one Egyptian official who delivered the proposals to Iran spoke to the American news agency.
A Pakistani official stated that a 15-point proposal from the United States was conveyed to Iran, which also includes relief in sanctions.
The proposals reportedly include ending Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and monitoring by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The plan also includes civil nuclear cooperation between the US and Iran.
A senior Pakistani official said that Pakistan remains firmly committed to the security and defense of Saudi Arabia and is in contact with all parties to help resolve the Middle East conflict.
Pakistani and Egyptian officials further revealed that a meeting between Iranian and US officials may take place in Pakistan on Friday.
An Egyptian official described the 15-point proposal as a comprehensive ceasefire agreement, which also includes restrictions on Iran’s support for armed groups.
Meanwhile, IAEA chief Rafael Grossi stated that the US-Iran talks will not be limited to nuclear issues but will also cover missiles, Iran-linked militias, and security guarantees.
