Pakistani tech-entrepreneur and activist Waqar Zaka has announced that he wants to become the prime minister of Pakistan and will take part in elections in 5 years from the platform of Technology Movement Pakistan (TMP).
According to Zaka, TMP seeks to introduce a new approach to politics — one grounded in technology,
innovation, and digital-economy thinking rather than traditional
patronage-based politics.
Waqar Zaka said while talking to the UK based journalist, “We don’t have any differences with any political party.” He further said that he wants to welcome all political workers, including PTI members who are not happy with the party, to join TMP.
He urged young people to join his party. Waqar Zaka confirmed that, currently, his party is not ready for the elections. He also said that “we don’t have people with a lot of money to take part in elections.”
Waqar Zaka praised the Pakistan Army while mentioning that “no one even needs to try to come into power without taking the establishment into confidence.”
He also said, while talking to the journalist, that “we are with the army.”
