In letter, dated 15th May, the lawmakers of the United States of America addressed the PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and praised their mediation efforts and leadership qualities during US-Iran conflict.
According to the text of the letter Jack Bergman Member of Congress as Co-Chair of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus wrote a formal letter and addressed PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to extend his sincere gratitude for the leadership they have both demonstrated in the ongoing peace negotiations between the United States and Iran.
The letter acknowledges Pakistan’s key role and strategic importance and considers Pakistan’s partnership indispensable to that effort.
The letter further reads that The United States’ relationship with Pakistan is of enduring strategic importance, and Pakistan’s willingness to leverage its unique position to bring these parties to the table is a demonstration of true statesmanship. Jack Bergman further wrote that The President, the White House, and Congress have recognized Pakistan’s peace efforts on all internationa forums and through leading media outlets numerous times, but the letter reiterates those sentiments again in a more formal manner.
He once again thanked both the leaders on behalf of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus and expressed heartiest gratitude and wished to visit Pakistan soon.
Jack Bergman also showed his strong commitment to strengthen the bond between our two nations.
