US confirms participation in Pakistan-brokered peace talks

The White House has confirmed that the United States will become part of the upcoming peace talks scheduled to be held in Islamabad on Saturday, 11 April, hosted by Pakistan.

The announcement comes as part of ongoing efforts by Pakistan to maintain regional stability and uphold the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran.


The U.S. delegation will be headed by Vice President J.D. Vance, and will include Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and former senior adviser Jared Kushner. Pakistani officials have welcomed the news, highlighting the importance of Islamabad’s role as a neutral facilitator in the talks.


The peace talks aim to address key high level issues affecting Middle East, with a focus on diplomatic solutions, regional peace, and the continued implementation of the ceasefire. Analysts view Pakistan’s involvement as a crucial step in ensuring effective communication between the conflicting parties.

It is worth noting that Pakistan’s Political and military leadership played a pivotal role in sageguarding regioinal peace and stability, eliminating the threat of wide-spread conflicts. World leadership is applauding Pakistan’s efforts with good will gestures and appreciations.
