Washington, April 6, 2026: Donald Trump has taken a hardline stance on Iran, warning that the United States has the capability to “destroy Iran in a single night,” adding that such an action could happen “as soon as tomorrow.”
Speaking during a press conference, Trump emphasized that US proposals for a potential agreement with Iran are crucial and should serve as the foundation for any negotiations.
He reiterated that Washington expects its terms to remain central in ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The US president also revealed details of a high-risk rescue mission involving an American pilot, stating that around 200 troops participated in the operation. Trump said he personally authorized the mission, highlighting its strategic importance.
According to him, US forces successfully entered Iranian territory and carried out the rescue in daylight without any casualties. He described the mission as highly sensitive and one of significant historical importance.
Trump further asserted that the United States possesses unmatched military strength and advanced weaponry, claiming no other country has similar capabilities. He added that this superiority enabled the US to achieve its objectives in Iran.
Reiterating his warning, Trump said the US maintains a position of dominance in the ongoing situation and is prepared to take further decisive action if necessary, stressing once again that Iran could be “wiped out in a single night.”
