UAE arrests 25 foreigners for spreading misinformation on Iranian attacks

Web Desk: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrested several individuals for spreading false information and glorifying Iranian attacks on the country. Authorities said the arrests were part of ongoing efforts to maintain national security and curb misinformation.

Officials confirmed that the detainees include 17 Indians, 2 Pakistanis, 2 Filipinas, 2 Nepalese, 1 Egyptian, and 1 Bangladeshi. Authorities emphasized that all those arrested are facing legal proceedings for violating UAE laws related to misinformation and public security.

According to the UAE government, the individuals were promoting fake news online and praising hostile actions against the country. The Ministry of Interior stated that such activities threaten public safety and could undermine national stability.

Authorities warned the public not to spread unverified information on social media. Officials stressed that the UAE has strict laws against online misinformation and incitement of violence.

The arrests come amid heightened tensions in the region, where authorities remain vigilant against activities that may harm national security. Law enforcement agencies continue to monitor online platforms to prevent the circulation of fake news and extremist content.

The UAE government reaffirmed its commitment to protecting residents and maintaining peace while enforcing laws against those who glorify attacks or promote misinformation.
