Web Desk: U.S. military aircraft carried out airstrikes on fortified Iranian missile sites near the Strait of Hormuz, CENTCOM said, following the reported martyrdom of senior Iranian figure Ali Larijani.

Israeli military spokesperson Effie Defrin said authorities are monitoring other Iranian figures, including Mojtaba Khamenei. “We don’t know about Mojtaba Khamenei, we don’t hear him, we don’t see him, but I can tell you one thing: we will track him down, find him, and neutralise him,” Defrin said.

Trump commented on the operation, saying, “We are going far ahead of our schedule,” in reference to actions following Larijani’s death.

CENTCOM described the sites as key to Iran’s regional missile capabilities. Officials said the strikes were intended to limit Iran’s ability to use the sites in future military operations.

Analysts warned the strikes could escalate tensions in the Gulf region and urged all parties to exercise caution. Observers noted that further military or retaliatory actions could affect shipping and regional security.

U.S. and allied forces said they are monitoring Iranian military activity closely and are prepared to respond if new threats emerge.
