Tik Toker Sana Yousaf case

TikToker Sana Yousaf’s mother, while speaking about her daughter’s murder case, said she was satisfied with the verdict and thanked God, saying that justice had been served.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Sana Yousaf’s mother expressed gratitude to everyone who supported their family.

It should be noted that the District and Sessions Court in Islamabad has sentenced the accused Umar Hayat to death in the Sana Yousaf murder case. Additional Sessions Judge Islamabad Afzal Majoka announced the verdict.

In addition, the court sentenced Umar Hayat to a total of 20 years in prison and imposed a fine of 2.4 million rupees under charges related to robbery and unlawful entry.

During the hearing, the complainant’s lawyer had requested that the accused be awarded two death sentences.

The defense lawyer argued in court that Umar Hayat had expressed lack of confidence in the state counsel and the trial court, and that two petitions were already pending in the Islamabad High Court. He said it would be unfair to assume in advance that the accused must be given the death penalty.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, Umar Hayat had denied the charges during the Sana Yousaf murder trial.

In the Islamabad District and Sessions Court hearing, the accused stated that he had neither confessed nor made any disclosure regarding the murder of Sana. He also said he had no contact with her.

The judge questioned him, noting that during investigation, a number saved as “Kaka” was found in Sana Yousaf’s phone records, and after mobile forensic analysis, it was traced back to him. The judge asked for his response.

The accused replied that he could not answer without his lawyer.
