Bannu — The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has arrested a wanted terrorist commander during an intelligence-based operation in Bannu.
According to the SP CTD, the arrested suspect has been identified as Usama, a resident of Bannu, who was also known by the aliases Daniyal and Baghi.
Officials stated that Usama was an active commander of a newly formed militant organization called Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan. He has reportedly confessed to involvement in nine major terrorist activities, including the attack on the Assistant Commissioner of Miranshah.
The suspect admitted to attacking Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali Khan in December 2025 and setting his vehicle on fire.
He also confessed to involvement in the kidnapping and killing of former SHO Abid Wazir.

According to the SP CTD, the accused has further admitted to the kidnapping and killing of three leaders of the Lakki Marwat Peace Committee.
