Severe earthquake tremors felt in Islamabad

Earthquake in Pakistan with 6.3 intensity

Strong earthquake tremors have been felt in various cities across the country, including Lahore and Islamabad.


Severe tremors were also reported in Rawalpindi, Upper Dir, Swat, Haripur, Abbottabad, Kharian, Kohat, Hangu, and surrounding areas.


Tremors were likewise experienced in Charsadda, Malakand, Shangla, Nowshera, Faisalabad, Nankana, and Sargodha, where residents came out of their homes reciting the Kalima Tayyaba.

According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale. Its epicenter was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, and its depth was 190 kilometers.

So far, no reports of any loss of life or any other damages have been reported.
