Rawalpindi: Security forces killed four militants in a series of intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 17–18, the military’s public relations wing ISPR said on Wednesday.

Multiple operations target militant presence

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops launched an operation in Bajaur after receiving reports of militant activity. Security forces engaged the suspects and, after an exchange of fire, killed one armed fighter.

North Waziristan encounters result in two more deaths

Moreover, two additional militants were killed in separate intelligence-led operations in the Spinwam and Zakir Khel areas of North Waziristan, ISPR stated. Officials said both individuals were involved in past attacks in the region.

Fourth militant killed in Dera Ismail Khan

In a separate encounter in Dera Ismail Khan district, security forces fatally shot another militant. ISPR added that weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operations.

Security forces continue operations under national counterterror plan

Authorities said all four militants were linked to what they described as an India-backed network operating inside Pakistan. They added that sanitization operations are underway to ensure no additional suspects remain in the area.

Furthermore, ISPR said the counterterrorism campaign will continue under “Azm-e-Istehkam,” a strategy approved by Pakistan’s Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The military stated that security and law enforcement agencies will maintain full operational momentum to eliminate foreign-backed militancy in the country.
