Quetta: Security forces killed six militants belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during a successful search operation in the Killi Padha area of Mastung District.

According to security sources, militants opened fire during the operation, prompting an effective retaliatory response from the forces. All six militants were killed in the exchange of fire.

The operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of militants in the area. Authorities stated that a clearance operation is still underway to eliminate any remaining threats.

Security forces reiterated their commitment to continuing operations until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.

Officials said weapons, ammunition, and communication equipment were also recovered from the militants, which will be used for further investigation. The recovered material is expected to provide valuable intelligence regarding the group’s network and future plans.

Local authorities have heightened security in and around the area, while law enforcement agencies are on alert to prevent any possible retaliation. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
