Web Desk: Pakistan has produced a new rising star in the case of Pakistan Opener Sameer Minhas who has emerged as the big name in the Men’ Under-19 Asia Cup After a tremendous innings in the final against India confirmed his path in the cricketing world for future. In every era generation has produced players who have redefined the boundaries of talent and grit and hopefully Sameer Minhas will be the one as well.
During his smashing inning the right hander scored 172 off 133 balls is the highest individual score ever made in a under 19 Asia Cup final that gave Pakistan a win of 191 run and Pakistan crushed the Indian side.
Minhas belonged to a cricking family as his father Kashif Minhas has also been represented Pakistan at the U19 level and his elder brother Arafat has already played four T20is for Pakistan in 2023-24.
Sameer Minhas Family migrated to the capital city Lahore for progress in the cricketing field for better access to coaching and facilities that they could make their way to senior international cricket arena. Sameer’s 172 is not his first smashing inning before in the tournament against Malaysia he scored an unbeaten 177 in the group stage that showed his best form. During the tournament he scored 9,4 and played an unbeaten inning 69 beaten before against India in the final match
During his interview he said that Pakistan Verses India is always a big deal but he did not feel any pressure as he wanted to play his game on his boots on.
He showed his mettle by playing his natural game as he played both spin and pace on leg side and straight back down the ground. Sameer Knows how to control the innings from the top that showed his game against India.
He said that for him it was good innings and played only by keeping one thing in mind to give a big total to his team.
For his remarkable play in the tournament, he collected both player of the Match in the final and also player of the series.
In future Sameer Minhas is set to play for Pakistan again in the ICC under-19 World Cup next month.
