Prize bonds are considered one of the safest investment options in Pakistan, with the added advantage of minimising the risk of losing the original amount.

Cash prizes are awarded to first, second, and third-place winners in draws held every three months.

While the chances of winning are small, the large rewards attract many investors.

It is also popular because prize bonds are managed by National Savings, which operates under the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

They are available in various denominations, including Rs1,500, Rs750, Rs200, and Rs100, as well as premium bonds worth Rs 40,000 and Rs25,000.

They can be purchased and encashed at SBP Banking Services Corporation offices, selected commercial banks, and National Savings Centres by submitting an application along with a valid CNIC.
