Punjab & KPK By-Elections: Who Will Win on November 23?

Web Desk: Punjab prepares for by-elections in 13 constituencies as campaigns officially end tonight, Election Commission confirms.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced that voting will take place on November 23 for six National Assembly and seven Provincial Assembly seats. Political parties must adhere to the code of conduct, with all campaigning set to conclude at midnight.

National Assembly Seats in Play

The National Assembly constituencies going to vote include NA-18 Haripur, NA-104 and NA-96 Faisalabad, NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sargodha, and NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan.

Officials said election preparations are complete, with ballot papers and other materials scheduled to be dispatched from returning officers’ offices to polling stations tomorrow morning.

Provincial Assembly Contests

Seven Provincial Assembly constituencies will also hold polls. These include PP-203 Sahiwal, PP-269 Muzaffargarh, PP-73 Sargodha, PP-87 Mianwali, and PP-15, PP-98, and PP-116 Faisalabad.

The ECP emphasized that strict adherence to election rules is mandatory and that no electoral activities will be allowed after the campaign deadline.

Tight Security Measures

Authorities have deployed the army, Rangers, and Frontier Corps to ensure security during the elections. Security personnel will be stationed outside polling stations, while specially trained officers will oversee the polling rooms.

By-Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In addition to Punjab, by-elections are also underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa NA 18 Haripur where Umer Ayub Khan was disqualified earlier.

The ECP reiterated its commitment to conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections across all regions, urging citizens to participate responsibly in the democratic process.
