More than 30,000 educational institutions across Punjab have been connected to the Safe City system, and an emergency helpline has been launched to ensure students’ security and support students’ mental health.

According to media reports, schools, colleges, and universities will update their security status on the Safety App three times a day.

To make the security of educational institutions foolproof, a Virtual Center for Educational Security has been established. Through a single app, the security status of all educational institutions can be monitored with just one click.

Meanwhile, to address serious but often silent issues such as mental stress, hopelessness, and suicidal tendencies—common in today’s fast-paced life—an emergency helpline has also been launched.

Under this emergency helpline, Punjab Safe City is providing specialized counseling services for issues such as suicidal thoughts, hopelessness, fear, depression, or similar mental health concerns. By dialing 15, individuals will be immediately connected with professional psychologists who will offer timely support and assistance.
