The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the dates for the 12th edition of the Pakistan Super League.
According to media reports, the PCB said that the 12th edition of the HBL PSL will be played from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with eight teams participating for the second consecutive time.
The PSL window was finalized after consultations with the Governing Council and franchises. The PSL Governing Council meeting was held in London on September 1, attended by the owners and representatives of all eight franchises.
In PSL 11, the player auction was introduced for the first time, replacing the player draft. Meanwhile, 32,461 spectators attended the final at Gaddafi Stadium, setting a record for attendance.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said PSL 11 demonstrated the league’s potential to the world, featuring thrilling moments, record crowds and new broadcast records. He expressed his determination to stage another successful PSL season.
PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer said the league was committed to meeting the expectations of fans in 2027.
According to him, the announcement of the PSL 12 window is only the first step, and all eight teams will be more determined than ever to win the title. He said millions of fans in Pakistan and around the world are eagerly awaiting PSL 12.
It may be recalled that Peshawar Zalmi won the PSL 11 title, defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final to lift the PSL trophy after nine years.
According to the PCB, details regarding direct signings, the player auction, schedule, venues and ticketing for PSL 12 will be announced later.
