Pattoki Assistant Commissioner (AC) Furqan Ahmed has passed away after several days of tirelessly leading relief operations for the flood-affected people.

According to reports, he died because of brain haemorrhage.

He was extremely under stressed and overworked during the days of relief operations for the flood-affected people.

Where was Pattoki Assistant Commissioner when he passed away?

Pattoki AC, Furqan Ahmed was staying at the Head Balloki Rest House when he passed away as he was on duty at the Balloki headworks.

His body was found in the restroom.

His sudden death has shocked colleagues and the people of Pattoki.

During this last days, he worked for the people of his area which will be always remembered.

The situation of flood in Punjab is a bit under control as compared to the last few days, however, millions of people were affected by this.

Some districts of Punjab are still at great risk of flooding include: Multan, Okara, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Rahim Yar Khan.

In this regard, Punjab’s Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has asked the authorities to start evacuating people from these areas.

According to the CM, there is a need for a stronger focus on relief operations. She said that schools buildings could also be used to shelter displaced families.

The floodwater even entered the city of Lahore after decades due to the overflowing of River Ravi.

Now, Sindh is on high alert as there is a strong possibility of a major flood.
