Pakistani army chief receives King Abdulaziz Medal from Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, on Sunday presented the King Abdulaziz Medal of the First Class to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, during a ceremony at his office in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

King Salman awarded the medal through a royal order in recognition of Field Marshal Munir’s role in strengthening Saudi-Pakistan relations, promoting joint cooperation, and deepening bilateral ties.

Prince Khalid congratulated Field Marshal Asim Munir on his appointment as army chief and wished him success.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed long-standing relations and strategic defense cooperation and discussed ways to promote international peace and security.

Senior Saudi officials, including Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and other defense officials, also attended the ceremony.
