Pakistan vs India Asia Cup clash: Dubai Police issue security advisory ahead of match

Web desk: Dubai Police have issued a new security advisory for cricket fans ahead of the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025 clash between Pakistan and India.

Authorities stressed that spectators must maintain discipline in line with the UAE’s global reputation for hosting world-class sporting events.

The high-voltage encounter will take place tomorrow at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In preparation, Dubai Police have introduced special rules and regulations for fans attending the matches.

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations and Chairman of the ESC, said special police units have been deployed for all Asia Cup matches.

He warned that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in disorderly conduct or attempts to disrupt security. Legal measures will be enforced to ensure the safety of fans and the stadium.

Strict penalties and fines

According to Major General Al Mazrouei, violators of stadium rules will face heavy punishments.

  • Entering the pitch without permission or bringing prohibited items such as fireworks could lead to up to three months in jail and fines ranging from AED 5,000 to AED 30,000.
  • Fighting, throwing objects, or using racist or abusive language could result in fines between AED 10,000 and AED 30,000, along with jail terms.

Prohibited items

The following items are strictly banned inside the stadium:

  • Fireworks, flammable materials, lasers, umbrellas, large cameras, selfie sticks, sharp or toxic objects, flags, banners, pets, remote-controlled devices, bicycles, scooters, and skateboards.

Major General Al Mazrouei emphasised that these restrictions are not only for spectators but also for the safety of players, officials, and all participants.
