Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
In a statement, the Prime Minister said Pakistan strongly condemns the blatant attacks carried out against Saudi Arabia last night. He described the attacks as a violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that such actions could further undermine peace and stability in the region.
Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia during this difficult time and reiterates its unwavering commitment to the Kingdom’s security.
He noted that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share deep-rooted and brotherly relations, adding that Pakistan will continue to support the Kingdom’s peace, security, and stability.
The Prime Minister also said Pakistan will continue to back all sincere efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, security, and mutual respect across the region.
He stressed that all countries must play a responsible role in reducing tensions and paving the way for lasting regional peace.
It is worth noting that Yemen’s Houthi movement had launched missiles toward Saudi Arabia after accusing the kingdom of carrying out airstrikes on an airport under its control, ending a four-year period of relative calm between Riyadh and the Iran-aligned group.
A spokesperson for the Saudi-led military coalition said on X that the kingdom’s air defenses had destroyed missiles “launched by the terrorist Houthi militia toward the southern region.”
