Independence Day is a symbol of sacrifice, unity, determination, and courage.
It is a day to renew our pledge and remember the sacrifices of our elders. This freedom is the result of a long struggle and unmatched sacrifices.

“Pakistan is the fruit of our elders’ sacrifices. That is why our spirits are always high,” stated some citizens.
They further added, “We have made our country’s name shine across the world with our skills. No one should think we are weak. Tough times come, but we face them.”
“When Pakistan is written in the heart, fear disappears, closed paths open, and the destination comes closer,” stated citizens.
“We have made our name among those who truly love. With the green hope of a bright tomorrow, we will break every wall of hardship and move ahead,” citizens said.
Peshawar is brimming with Independence Day spirit, with national flags adorning the city. Four SMD floats are parading through various roads as part of the celebrations and will continue touring different areas until August 14.
The purpose of these floats is to spread the joy of Independence Day to every home and every heart.

Stories of freedom, sacrifice, told by Pakistan’s heroes
This is the story of Pakistan in the words of those who paid the price of freedom with their sacrifices.
On Independence Day, we met Engineer Muhammad Sadiq Khan from Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a hero of the freedom struggle.
He said: “We knew a country had been made where La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah would be the law.”
The dream for Kashmir’s freedom was also based on the vision of an Islamic state. After Pakistan’s creation, there was no reason to live with Hindus.
He recalled that when the news of Pakistan’s creation came, Hindus planned to wipe out Muslims.
He said Pakistan gave them a kind of freedom no other nation had received. The entire nation salutes the heroes of the freedom struggle.
