Pakistan gains strongest diplomatic position in Washington: Foreign Policy report

Islamabad / Washington: According to a detailed Foreign Policy report, Pakistan has gained one of its strongest diplomatic positions during the incumbent U.S. President Donald Trump’s tenure. The shows a series of developments that expressively elevated Pakistan’s standing in U.S. strategic calculations.

As per the Publication, the U.S. President developed an unprecedented personal rapport with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for bilateral relations, a factor described as historically significant. The report says that this close engagement opened doors for deeper political trust and security coordination between the two nations.

The report states that a major turning point was Pakistan’s decisive role in the capture of the alleged mastermind behind the Kabul attack, and that this breakthrough earned Pakistan the complete confidence of President Trump in strengthening counter-terrorism cooperation to new levels.

It highlighted that Islamabad’s intelligent and strategic diplomacy propelled Pakistan and U.S. ties to new heights. The report states that on the global stage, Pakistan’s role in restoring confidence in the Reko Diq project showcased the country as a reliable and stable investment partner.

Pakistan, in the economic domain, is said to have introduced a modern and transparent regulatory framework for cryptocurrency, which U.S. officials reportedly viewed as an encouraging step toward financial improvement. According to the report, the Trump administration expanded cooperation with Pakistan in crypto regulation, counter terrorism efforts, energy partnerships, and mineral developments   

Foreign policy highlighting that during Pakistan-India tensions, Trump publicly praised Pakistan’s effective diplomatic outreach and even openly accepted credit for facilitating a ceasefire that the report attributes to Islamabad’s impactful diplomacy.

The report also said that President Trump considered Pakistan a pillar of Middle East strategic stability and recognized its growing role in global energy security and regional peace.

The Foreign Policy overall analysis concludes that Pakistan strengthened its global posture of vision, a powerful blend of leadership and strategic diplomacy.
