FM Asim Munir Visits Jordan, Meets King Abdullah to Strengthen Defence Ties

Jordan: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Pakistan Army, is on an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where he met His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces. Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II was also present during the meeting.

During the discussions, the leaders focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in defence and security, as well as sharing perspectives on regional developments. Field Marshal Munir conveyed warm regards from the people, Government, and Armed Forces of Pakistan to His Majesty, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening fraternal ties with Jordan.

King Abdullah II praised the professionalism and contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability and expressed his desire to further deepen defence collaboration between the two nations.

Earlier, Field Marshal Munir visited the General Headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), where he met Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Huneiti. The COAS was received with a Guard of Honour, reflecting the strong ties between the two armies.

Both military leaders reaffirmed the historic and enduring relationship between the Pakistan and Jordan Armed Forces. Major General Al-Huneiti acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s significant role in promoting peace and security in the region.

The visit underscores ongoing efforts by Pakistan and Jordan to strengthen defence cooperation and regional stability through high-level military engagement.
